Round Up: PFW Men's SS25

The Footwear From Paris

With Paris Fashion Week Men’s SS25 now behind us, we took some time to reflect on the standout footwear we encountered. Salomon kicked off our week with an installation exploring the brand’s legacy in mountain sport and technical product innovation - the genesis of it’s footwear design process in both high performance and contemporary lifestyle. The POST ARCHIVE FACTION 8.0 presentation featured models gracefully circulating a solo violinist, adorned with new colourways of the ongoing ON partnership. PAF continue to push forward in building out their world of technical tailoring. Elsewhere, we saw ecco.kollektive’s new lineup of collaborators which included some masterful executions from Craig Green. Blending leather craft, injection moulding and carbon dying in a way that we haven’t quite seen before. Both DEMON and ALIVEFORM presented new archetypes of their core styles - continuously challenging our perception of footwear proportion. Song For the Mute continue their partnership with adidas Originals showcasing a tasteful interpretation of the Superstar. Built from a myriad of supple leathers, the shoe is void of any stiffeners giving it a softer more deconstructed feel. The Suicoke showroom previewed an upcoming release in the form of the furry Vibram FiveFingers with Midorikawa, which is set for a global release later this year.
