Vacuum Formed Footwear by Kurtis Hoffman

A one week personal project that stemmed from designer, Kurtis Hoffman‘s curiosity on how to combine vacuum forming and footwear. With the goal being purely to experiemnt, and not to design a finalised, finnished product, Kurtis created a mixture of vacuum formed applications to various types of shoes, from rugged boots to trainers.

The end result leaves a super clean, sculptural, Snarkitecture type of feel. Too see the Kurtis’ vacuum formed experiments, see below.

    This is so cool, I wonder if you then injected or filled the outsole cavity with an expandable foam or similar you could actually implement this
