Tim Coppens Debuts Under Armour Sportswear at NYFW

Designer Tim Coppens and Under Armour appear to be going the adidas x Yohji/Wang/MacCartney route and have teamed up to create an upscale contemporary collection, and it actually looks great.

A mixture of military inspired styles with Michelin rubber soles, and clean low cut casual styles, they’ve done a great job of translating the brand’s DNA to a more casual and stylish collection that would be easy to wear with most outfits.

It’s interesting to see the maturation of UA and their foray’s into various different areas of the industry generally reserved for the big three/four sporting brands that dominate the industry. With a lot of brands and fashion designers trying to do more sportswear-inspired styles that often look, well…shitty and overdone, it’s refreshing to see such a clean collection from UA & Tim Coppens.
