The Process Behind The Salvages ‘Manifesto’ Sneaker

Late last year, The Salvages released their first footwear silhouette, a deconstructed sneaker named the ‘Manifesto’.

Founded by Earn Chen, The Salvages reached out the designer Helen Kirkum to apply her distinct deconsrtucted style to their first sneaker offering. The style features a knit upper, developed by HOC Lab Tech and Jacob Patterson, along side a mixture of intricate leather and mesh layers. A key feature of the style is it’s beautifully executed, assymetric, ‘pieced together’ Vibram sole unit.

Below you can see some of the initial ideation and development process behind the shoe, as well as a look at the final product.
