THE ‘KUSH SLIDE’ | Kevin Becker

DC designer Kevin Becker has been busy. Whether he’s designing boots for Tom Criuse on the ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ movie, or creating signature shoes for prolific skateboarders like Nyjah Huston, Kevin always does a brilliant job of detailing his process during the entirety of the project, below being a brilliant example.

“The Kush is an opportunity for the DC brand to capture market share in the popular slides segment. Inspired by the intricate details of moto cross bikes, the product targets the consumer who prefers the bold design language of DC’s moto styles, yet appreciates progressive product design.

Since the slide is ‘shot’ in a labor efficient injection molding process, production cost can be kept low. At the same time the process guarantees a consistently fitting product with higher production efficiency and less production waste.” – Kevin

From the initial market research & sketches to tech packs and final 3D models, you can see the full design and development process behind the ‘Kush Slide’, below.
