Tali by Marta Szpilewska

Tali is a super interesting project where designer, Marta Szpilewska asked herself a simple, yet incredibly difficult question: ‘Could I use trash to create a shoe?’

1/3 of the worlds poverty is situated in India, forcing many young children work, bare foot, picking trash…not the greatest combination as you could imagine. What Marta has created is a shoe that (atleast the upper) can be created by the materials these children have in abundance, weaving different materials into the sole, creating an affordable, sanitary and unique solution.
