Sneaker 2030 Winner: PREVISION by Kevin Hoffman

I f*cked up.

A while ago some of you may remember we ran a footwear competition with Warsaw Sneaker Market called, Sneaker 2030. I’m not entirley sure what happened, but the winnner was actually never announced. Honestly I have no clue what happened here but reguardless, it’s a major faux pas on my part. A massive apology to the winner of the comp, Kevin Hoffman and everyone that took part.

So to the entry that did actually win; PREVISION by the super talented, Kevin Hoffman.
Kevin really knocked it out of the park tbh. With a beautifully laid out presentation, expressive sketches and gorgeous final design & 3D model, Kevin set the bar high from the gate.
However, the project and concept was far more then just aesthetically pleasing.
Embeddeding neural processing units & sensors into the sole, the idea is that the shoe would learn the athletes movements over time, and then allow the shoe to predict them in the future. He’s also weaved self-sustaining piezoelectric fibres into the upper of the shoe that can alter it’s density to react to the athletes movements.
The overall intention being to help to prevent injury and allowing for greater agility and movement.

Again, a massive congrats & apology to Kevin, please enjoy your (extremely late) victory lap! Check out Kevin’s incredible PREVISION project, below.

This also make's me wonder if I've fkd up elswhere, so if I've unintentially wronged you in the past feel free to send comments or angry meme's directly to me at: Daniel@ConceptKicks.com.
