It’s been a while since I posted anything packaging/branding related, but I just came up on this project by Graphic Designer, Hongjian Li and thought it was brilliantly executed. I can’t even lie, i’m a little heated I haven’t seen a Footwear Designer with this type of personal branding or ‘left-behinds’ yet, because this is just brilliant. Hongjian even put his age where shoe size & grades of skill in editing programs on the label, as well using the ’tissue paper’ generally found inside the box, to display his contact info.
“I am a Graphic Designer, a daily USB is very important to me for holding all my graphic design files. And I am also a huge shoe fan. This self-promo project shows my love of shoes and the importance of an USB to a Graphic Designer. I combined these two objects and built a one-piece “Shoe-SB” with my name initial “H” as a self promotional product to let people know me better as a Graphic Designer and a shoe fan at the same time.” – Honjian Li
