See The Design Of United Nude’s “Coral Shoe”

Former United Nude Design Manager, Michal Kukucka has shared some of the process behind the many footwear (and other) projects he was involved with during his time at the brand.

One of them being the “Coral Shoe” –

“The design was inspired by the smooth, curved surfaces of coral reef.
Intention was here to test the 3D printing technique for strength and wearability. The challenge was design appropriate feet attachment.” – Michal

The shoes were printed with an FDM printer. The straps, which weave through the complex sole, were designed to comfortably tighten around the foot, combining a soft closer system with the harder, 3D body.
