PUMA Mecanizo by Kevin Redon

Kevin Redon has been killin’ it lately, this time with his beautiful, Puma ‘Mecanizo’ project –

‘The Mecanizo was one of my most exciting project when I started my career.
The main focus was to design a special Motorsport trainer shoe for the F1 pit crew teams.
A totally new silhouette within the Motorsport category which provide support, breathability and comfort.
A complete seamless upper with a mix of rubber pods and ground EVA tooling offer to the F1 mechanicians a lightweight shoe. Some treatments were added to this: for the tongue we recreate a “sock” feeling and a really comfy trainer with a semi-booty construction; a strong external heel counter for the lateral supports and a rubberized toecap overlay for protection.
In a garage, the mechanicians are a lot on their knees, which explains the positioning of the PUMA® and CAT® logos. A special attention into details.’ – Kevin
