Puma “Big Cat” Concept By Jacob Ainsley

Currently finnishing up his final year at University of the Arts London, Jacob Ainsley created this Puma “Big Cat” proto during his intership with the brand.

Replacing the normal branded logo with an oversized “Big Cat” Puma and cleverly using the tail as a heel pull-tab, Jacob’s subtle and clever twist is an eloquent progression on a timeless classic.

Below you can see some of the initial making process, original pull-over and final sample.

“During my time in Germany last year on a weekend visit back to London I snook into my university workshop to use the post-bed sewing machine. It proved to be easier said than done, so George the technician helped me put it together. Sadly, a week later, George passed away. As such this design and the prototype we made together are extra special to me. S/O George… an old shoe dog and a true gent.” – Ainsley´╗┐
