Original Air Jordan XIII Concept by Tinker Hatfield | #cktbf

For this weeks #cktbf (ConceptKicks Throw Back Friday) we look way back to 1996, at Tinker Hatfield’s original concept for the Air Jordan XIII. The initial sketch shows a midfoot strap, Schoeller Dynatec mesh upper, ‘J Gas cushioning’ placed into the sole unit, a coated phylon outsole and a TPU-injected suede-wrapped midsole. Ofcourse, the final XIII shoe came out a little different, but it’s always interesting getting to see a little of the initial ideation.
