New Balance 0006 Concept by RaeKyu Park

With the idea of ‘redesigning the footwear manufacturing process through 3D printing’, designer RaeKyu Park got to work with this New Balance 0006 concept, created during his 2012 internship with the company. Utilizing a 3D printable Resilin protein material for the outsole, RaeKyu is hoping to create a super responsive & strong sole that you can produce at home or your local New Balance store. Though there are obviously parts that still need to worked on for a fully feasible product, the idea is interesting and the shoes look great.

Check out more of RaeKyu’s super interesting project, after the jump.
