Making of a Classic Blueprint: The Reebok Classic Leather

As a part of Reebok’s “It Takes a Lot to Make a Classic” campaign, Reebok has created a short reverse engineered video of the making of a classic Reebok silhouette. Making tech pacs for shoes is never really that fun, but looking at how such a classic shoe has been put together is pretty interesting in this light, plus the more education sneaker brands can give their consumers about the development of their products the better imo.

Originally released in 1987 at the height of the so-called “aerobics boom” that saw Americans hitting the gym in droves, the Reebok Classic Leather has remained a staple of the brand’s footwear collection due to its timeless shape, distinctive outsole and oversized Vector branding – which successfully incorporated into the design of the upper.’
