Footwear Flashback: Karabo Anoh
Karabo Anoh was a frequent contributor to each of the original 'big three' footwear sites (Kicksguide, Core77, Niketalk). He started building his reputation on Kicksguide and quickly became a familiar name. After making his mark as a two-time finalist, a small hiccup with KG led him to keep pushing with his designs and start showcasing his work mainly on Core77 and Niketalk. With super clean shading and strong color blocks Karabo made it look so easy, just dropping bombs on the forums with sweet concepts and exploration. Karabo does such a great job with the presentation of his already dope concepts by making an interesting page without going overboard and losing people. He uses the same meticulously simple style and applies it to the way he creates highlights and shadow, using just enough to create a presence and give it a pop.
