Footwear Development Trip | Porto

This past week, the homie Noel from ekn footwear and myself flew out to Porto, Portugal to over see the development of the latest ekn x mrbailey collab line.
This wasn’t my first time in Porto, but every time I go I’m just blown away by the city, it’s got to be one of my personal favorite places to go and develop footwear. The Douro river runs right through the center of the city, one side hosting a plethora of old Port wine factories (which you can go on Port wine tasting tours, which I highly suggest) and on the other side is a bustling city mixed with beautiful old buildings and modern architecture. The factories are generally pretty spacious, and filled with local Portuguese workers that are surprising cool with having pictures and videos taken of them while they work (that’s not always the case, trust me). So, being inspired by @DavMaw & @GoldenDesign, I thought it might be interesting to try and document certain parts of the trip and share them. Below is a selection of pictures taken by Noel and myself during our latest development trip to Porto.

(I’ll be traveling to South America next week for footwear development also, so I’ll try to do the same when I’m over there to perhaps show some contrast and similarities between the two, very different locations.)
