“CARAPACE” by Laura Papp

Designer Laura Papp always creates beautifully intricate and provocative products, these “CARAPACE” shoes being a direct reflection of that. As you can see from some of her other projects, Laura is never one to be afraid of pushing the boundaries of both how footwear is constructed and also looks.

This particularly clean looking pair of “CARAPACE” shoes combine what looks to be pebbled leather upper sections, which are also visible across the sole, and some type of Neoprene-ish inner bootie.

I really like the juxtaposition between the angular leather sections, with the sweeping nose and square collar, and the smooth, form-fitting inner bootie. Beautifully done.
