The adidas Climaheat Boa is a specialty boot designed by, Michael Hesterberg for Golfers looking to play in extreme wet, or cold conditions.
I have to admit, the whole premise of ‘extreme golfing’ is pretty interesting to me. I’m by no means an avid golfer, and perhaps I’m just being extremely ignorant, my idea of Golf is generally a nice, leisurely, chill experience (but then again, my idea of a golf athlete outside of Tiger Woods is this guy). So to think of a Golfing athlete in need of extreme equipment is a little far outside of my comprehension…Either way, it’s very interesting to see what brands are coming up with for ‘extreme Golfing’, the Nike Lunar Bandon first coming onto my radar, and now these adidas Climaheat Boa.
Developed with a multi-layered “Climeheat” lining, a “Climaproof” microfiber upper, Boa closure, “FitFoam” sock liner, a 9-cleat “Thintech” outsole that has “Swing Plane Traction” and “CenTraXion” for extra grip on the turf, low-profile “Stealth” cleats that allow greater contact with the ground and finally, “Tour360” technology for foot stability throughout the swing. That’s a shit load of technology, which I can only imagine should be more then enough, even for the most extreme of extreme Golfers.
Below we get a look at some beautifully rendered initial concepts for the Climaheat Boa boots by Michael, as well as a look at the final, very rugged version of the boot.
